1974 Mercury Cougar
My senior year of high school I purchased my very own "first" car, a 1974 Ford Mercury Cougar with a 351 C.I. Cleveland motor. When I entered the Army in 1985, my father went about restoring the car for me and installed the after market camshaft I purchased for it. I later added a shift kit in the transmission, lowered the 9-inch Ford rear end gear to ~3:70, added a 700cfm Holley carburetor, and dual point distributor system. Then to top it all off it had a massive Alpine radio system. I really loved this car!
